To me, life is not about diamonds or pearls, not about living in bungalows and driving branded cars. Life, at the end of the day, its about going home to the one you love dearly whom you would do just anything and everything for.
I attended my primary school classmate’s wedding dinner last night. She called to tell me about the wedding dinner a few weeks ago..and the news was kinda skeptical to most of us whom she had invited. A fren called me and asked if it was for real and I told her I wasn’t sure myself either. Then yesterday, it was kinda last min when I called this fren up and asked if we should attend the dinner. There wasn’t any invitation card though but verbal invitation. I didn’t know where her house is nor her husband’s, so I decided to get my fren to tumpang me there.
The dinner was not held in a restaurant. It was at her husband’s house and was a buffet one. I dunno how many friends she had invited in total, but only 3 of us turned up. We weren’t close to her during the days in primary school, but again we think that it’ll kinda rude or ‘dun-give-face’ if we don’t show ourselves after being invited, so we did..afterall she is still a fren who cares to invite us despite the many years of not meeting us.
She is 22. Her husband is said to be 36 but I wonder if he is coz he looks much older. Looks can be misleading so I shouldn’t bother much about that. According to the bride, her husband is currently working in Singapore and only comes back to Malacca once in a fortnight. So she’ll be staying ay her mother in law’s place. When she mentioned about his family members, she started to cry a lil and we told her not to as that’s her big day. I guess they dun treat her well. It was sad.
Hmmm should I give you some insight on the kind of person she is? Well, she is my primary school classmate back in NDC. She is weak in her studies and was alwiz caned by the teachers for not passing her spelling tests and stuff. It’s really a pathetic and pitiful sight, I dunno why the teachers would do such thing to her coz it’s not that she is lazy. None of us dare to ask the teachers why, coz I guess we’re afraid we’ll get caned along as well.
It’s good that she is now married to someone who hopefully will take good care of her. Partly becoz I think she is unable to look after herself very well and could be easily cheated by juz anybody. I hope she leads a happier and better life after this :)
So there goes another happily married couple on earth. How nice huh? Finding true love, getting married, starts a family…live happily ever after hahaha. And me….sigh. No luck in gambling, no luck in securing a job, no luck in having someone I liked, no luck in meeting the mr.right again, everything seems so bleak at the moment. Tell me…when is my good luck gonna come?
The Malaysian Mega Sales is here. Another event to make me whine. I have not bought anything at all that’s in my shopping list. Nothing, and everybody is going shopping like crazy. By the time I get a job, guess the sale will be over. I have no slightest idea on when my first company will call up and offer me my first job. I’m getting so frustrated as days go by. It has become a habit of mine to wake up early and turn my hp switch on, so that if any company calls, I’ll not miss it. But the phone has been silent, most of the time, except for calls and sms-es. A company I sent my resume to (I think around early June) has JUST replied my email yesterday saying that my resume was read-protected and asked me to resend it. It has already been a month plus now since the day I first started on my job hunt. Guess I dun nid to worry so much huh, since the companies will obviously need time to process few hundreds of applications? Haha juz some lame excuses to comfort myself here and who knows it could be the truth though. Anyway, I’m still sending resumes to some big established firms lately. The job hunt never stops :)
Anyway, gentle reminder to all graduating students…..
-Dun forget to send your robe rental order if you haven’t. -Make sure you have gotten the Convo Confirmation Letter from MMU -Remember to register at www.mmu.edu.my/convo -Also, make an appointment with the photo studio you’d like to take ur graduation photos at. -Eat, sleep and exercise well, you wouldn’t want to fall sick or to look bad in photos for convo :p
A car accident happened in front of my house last Sunday afternoon. Me and my family were in the living room when it happened. We heard this loud banging sound coming from the road. A black Perdana banged my neighbour’s car which was parked beside the road. The front part of the Perdana and the back of my neighbour’s were wrecked. I didn’t go out coz my dad and mom, grandmother were already outside and I din wan to be a concern-fella busybody who obviously wouldn’t contribute a thing but to look at the damage or at the number plate. By the way, I know the Perdana’s number was 9121. If you put 21 in front then 91, then it’ll be similar to that of allen’s.
Anyway, I watched the repeat Malaysian Idol Result Show yesterday coz I was out with frens on Sunday night. The 3 finalists from workshop 3 are pretty much predictable, except for Trish coz Kash is not bad too. I knew Daniel would get in, Farah too. Daniel…the only Chinese guy who entered the workshop stage, and Farah aka the Malaysian Mandy Moore. Doesn’t she remind you of mandy moore? As for Trish, she has that black female diva’s voice and will surely sound good in songs originally sang by the blacks. Not bad but it kinda irritates me when she starts doing those stupid cute-cute posing and facial expression. Yucks. Acting cute when you’re not, ‘ban cute’(act cute) on national tv is simply a bad idea man.
Oh hold on…I have a premonition here~~I can see him in the finale….singing the theme song…standing beside someone…..waiting for the result to be announced by Jien to see who will be Malaysian Idol 2….omg it’s Daniel~~~end of premonition ;p
Hahahaha relax…juz kidding! I know some out there must have already been jealous since Daniel became one of the finalist coz of the attention he is getting from the gals nationwide. You see, when the gals went for Vick and Andrew, you can’t help but to boo them. Deja-vu…now some already feel like boo-ing Daniel, no? Come on, cute guy like him will definitely deserved some attention one. *wink wink*
But whether or not this Kedah boy will stay long on the show, I can’t tell. He has got some diction problem and I hope he will do something to improve it.If he is from MMU,I'll be glad.I’ll follow my sis to classes everyday. For now, my 3 preferitti (hehe) would be Nita, Farah and Daniel. Remember Nita from WS2? The tall thin gal who sang ‘get here’? I like her singing I can’t get enuf of it. Farah…nice to look at…cute, nice voice and lastly, si Daniel…adorable, cool, stylish. Boo me.
Guess who I pick to come back for the Wildcard show? Who wants Dianne, the Soliano gal, raise your hand. It was juz a wrong song choice that time I think. I hope the big guy Fauzi gets thru, and oh yeah..Kash aka the Malaysian Craig David. Despite the fact that he kinda screwed Belaian Jiwa, he got unique voice. He should be in already, not Trish. “But the vote is up to you malaysia-Jien” Bleh…
Few blog topics are queing up in my head now. Gotta start getting them all out one by one..
This post has been typed few days ago though and guess I've preserved it too long in my PC hehe..
My grandfather’s birthday dinner at Dragon Deluxe in Melaka Baru last Saturday was considered a success, almost all invited relatives turned up for it. My mom left home earlier with my uncle together with my grandparents, the host should be there the earliest before the arrival of others.
And yeah, the dinner was video recorded, so as the lunch session earlier that day at my grandparents house. We got the watch the first half of the video aka the morning session after lunch though. It’s alwiz nicer to watch ourselves in video, it usually turns out to be even funnier. Y’know, all the talking and stuff….
My dad and my mom sat at the main table, and me and my sis and my grandmother at another table with some non-relative aka family frens. That’s my only complaint on the seating arrangement but then again, the main table couldn’t fit all of the family members, so I figured it’d be better to focus on the food instead hehe.
I have this one strand of wig in my hair and my 10 years old cousin sister noticed it on stage after the cake cutting ceremony.
Cousin: (in mandarin) Is this real of fake? Me: What you think? Cousin: Real or fake? Real? Fake? Me: (wanting to get it done fast) Fake one Cousin: Can pull ar? Me: (talking in a lil harsher tone, of coz not scolding her la) You try and see!! Cousin: (and who knows…she gave it a pull, goodness!) Me: Oi, DUN PULL (bewildered, with bulging eyes looking straight at her) Cousin: you told me to pull ma…. Me: (right, I really did say that to A KID...duhh)
Kids will alwiz be kids, so caution to all, be careful when talking to them and avoid sarcastism. They are juz innocent lil kids.
Juz as I thought no one would ask if I’m the elder sister, as the dinner was coming to an end…..I was wrong :(
(A relative sitting and chatting with my grandmother, and me standing beside them) Relative: Ini adik ke ta-chi? Me: Gua ta-chi, adik ada sana. Grandmother: Adik tinggi. (it’s good that she din say..kakak katek sikit wahahah) Me: Ya..adik tinggi (grin without feeling proud) Relative: Oh ini yang ta-chi…lawa eh…macam pengantin (see…at least now I get to kembang sikit kekeke)
I tried my mom’s kebaya on, and it fits me really well though :) Guess I’m gonna get myself tailored a suit too hehe. I would prefer a darker shade like navy blue and match it with a black sarong with light colored floral prints. And perhaps some peacock sewing on top of the dark blue top? Oh mann, it sure gonna look stunning and elegant ;p Like I say, I can be kinda indecisive sometimes, so I might change my mind on the color of my kebaya later, since I’m not gonna make one for the time being. I need to get my hand on a job first and foremost man. Mentioning about getting a job, I'll try to update you ppl about my job hunt later.
I’m so damn mad right now!! I worked as a 2-month cashier before and after that, I kinda sweared that I’m not gonna accept that job again ever in my life, even if I am desperate for a job! It’s NOT easy and now I hate the thought of handling payments. Sometimes, no matter how careful you are in handling the transaction, ie when receiving and giving change, somehow, at the end of the day when they do check and balance, a few bucks will disappear for no apparent reason. (In my case was a few cents like 1 or 2,and they’d deduct it from your salary) Of coz that dun happen everyday la. Or else, I wont be having a handphone that I’m using right now already. That’s why my hp is being treated like a diamond man.
Anyway, back to wat I heard from my fren who worked part time as a cashier in Tesco Melaka. Juz becoz she was short of 50 bucks and they accused her of stealing it and forced her to strip naked for body search and never let her contact her parents. Fcuk, never in my life I have heard of such thing. We’re not searching for any kind of destructive weapon mind you, it’s a RM50 note!!! And how thick is the one piece of paper? Transparent meh?? You can’t see it thru your underwear if let's say you hide it inside?? If like that, why dun you ask those ASSHOLES if they wanna check your asshole!! Wahlau weh…fcuk them for their stupidity!!!
Even if you’re accused to hide or posses a weapon, is there anywhere in the law stated that you have to strip naked for body search?? What more, this was only about RM50!! If I were her, first I would not strip even if they slapped me. Second, I would still refuse to strip even if they threaten to call the police. If they do, LET THEM!!! I would say “Report la, nak report ke, nak tampar ke, silakan!!” Let those idiots alleged you for refusing to strip. I dun think not wanting to remove your clothes is an offence at all. Even if there is, on the other hand, there’re still human rights in another part of the law constitution. Threaten them back and say after reporting to the police and if they can’t find any money on you or you’re found innocent, you’re dad is a lawyer and has many lawyer frens and you’ll file a lawsuit if so, for assault and intimidation. This is an absolute humiliation and dun let it be a ‘nevermind-it’s-over’ thing. It’s them who wanted to make small thing big enuf to create havoc and all these troubles, so don’t give in to them. You have your rights infringed and pls do smth about it coz they dun have the rights to ask their employees to remove their clothes. Do something!! You hear me?
I feel so sorry for you and how I wish I was there to stand up for you. If this ever happens to me, ie…if they accuse me of stealing when I didn’t….or if they ever dare to lay a hand on me, TESCO will be waiting for their court letter man! No doubt!! They would regret till they wish to die for messing with the wrong gal! If unfortunately I dun have the money for those procedure now, fine, guess wat, I’ll be back SOMEDAY! Mampus kau! Or else, kneel and pray that I suffer from memory loss.
So ppl out there, now you know you shouldn’t work for the cheapest-selling-groceries hypermarket unless you’re more than glad to get attention by short-ing money, and asked to strip in front of porn-watchers in the security department.
